You Are Worth More

This is a message to all girls out there. You are worth more. I observe all too many times girls looking to guys for their self-worth. They get caught up in physical appearance and when a guy treats them bad they are crushed. I see all too many times where I guy is treating a girl like an object time and time again, and she keeps going back because “she thinks that he has changed”. Girls, you are worth so much more. Your worth does not come from your looks or what a guy thinks of you. Your worth is not measured by the number on the scale or the size of your jeans. It does not matter what color skin you have, what your hair looks like, whether or not you are wearing makeup. Your worth is not measured by any of that. In this day and age culture says that you have to look a certain way and act a certain way, but it is all a lie. You are worth more. So don’t buy that dress that has less fabric than your 5 year old cousins shirt, don’t date that guy who looks at you like a piece of meat. Whether you believe it or not, you are worth so much more. Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” God created you in His image while in your mothers womb. You have so much worth to Him. He created you perfectly and wonderfully the way that you are. You are beautiful. You do not need to change to make yourself “better”. God does not make mistakes. God knew what He was doing when He made you, and He made you exactly how He wanted you. God even sent His one and only Son to die for you. You did nothing to deserve it and yet He did it anyway. That is true love. You see your worth does not come from a guy or earthly possessions, your worth comes from the creator of the universe. You are worth more than you think. So please, stop looking to things that will only hurt you in hopes that they will make you feel better. Turn to the one who is where your worth should come from.

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
